Who We Are: We are called 'draymen', we are minority small business owners and company professional drivers who serve our community by bringing goods (in a shipping container) into our country. We work with all the ports in Washington State.

"When I heard owner operators truckers who had been operating at the port for 20+ years struggling to survive, I was very surprised. I asked them what happened? COVID pandemic created a new normal around the world, ports were not excluded. Basically operating cost for a trucking business more than doubled. Equipment insurance cost, mechanic hourly fees, cost of the diesel, and all related costs rose more than double, but container delivery rate is falling."

Towing Service: Draymen typically use old third generation trucks to move containers in and out of the ports. These trucks often break down on the roads. Our organization plans to provide free towing service covering Port of Seattle and Port of Tacoma and the roads in between the ports. This service will protect many small businesses and many families.

Group commercial insurance program: Trucking insurance is one of the large cost operating a business. Members of group can save money which is 15% less than conventional insurance cost.

Drayage rental truck: Only trucks registered at NSA can enter ports in WA. We want to provide a fleet of registered rental trucks for small business owners so they can rent it and work when their truck breaks down. This will prevent small companies going backrupt and save many first generation immigrant families.

Short term 0% loan for emergency equipment maintenance: Fixing a commercial equipment can be tens of thousand dollars. Working with government agencies, we want to provide emergency funding availabe to small business owners for their survival.

Education (training to be a successful entrepreneur) - How to open a company and become a successful draymen. - Port culture: how to operate inside the port and rules to follow. - Driving in the local roads: safely driving in the local roads. - Zero emission: how to participate in the clean air project. - Resources about working together with community and government.
"Everyday I have to remind myself that I am a businessman and an entrepreneur. I feel very stressed everyday hauling containers in the busy local traffic and trying hard to make the appointment times both in the ports and customers. If I dont remind myself I tend to forget what I am and just become a driver. I want to educate truck drivers to become a successful entrepreneur. I believe by becoming OMWBE certified and working at an employee owned business we can secure contracts from the large customers. I hope to bring knowledge that directly relates to success."
